Instructional Materials Sufficiency Hearing

Public Hearing

Public comments are invited regarding the sufficiency of the Luther Burbank School District's textbooks and/or instructional materials to determine whether each pupil in the District, including English learners, has sufficient standards-aligned textbooks or instructional materials, or both, that are aligned to the academic content standards adopted by the State Board of Education and consistent with the content and cycles of the curriculum framework adopted by the State Board of Education, in the following subjects:

• Mathematics

• Science

• History/Social Science

• English Language Arts, including the English language development (ELD) component of an adopted program

Action

It is recommended that the Governing Board adopt Resolution Number 09-15-26-01, Sufficiency of Instructional Materials.
