On Wednesday evening, we enjoyed a wonderful celebration honoring our students who met the criteria for reclassification as fluent English proficient and the families who supported them along the way. This milestone reflects our students’ hard work, growth, and perseverance.
We are grateful to Dr. Kenzie Major, Clara Medina, Sheryl Uchiyama, Suzie Velasquez, and our support staff for their efforts in organizing this special evening.
We also extend our heartfelt thanks to former Luther Burbank students and keynote speakers, Dr. Jeff Pham and Trustee Jesus Salazar, for joining our families and sharing uplifting and inspiring messages about the superpower of bilingualism, identity, and human dignity.
Thank you to our families for celebrating with us. Congratulations to our students—we are so proud of you! Enjoy the attached pictures from this memorable evening.
