Today, October 15, the California Department of Education released the 2026 California School Dashboard, an online tool that helps families understand how schools are doing in academics, attendance, and school climate.

We have progress to celebrate! Our overall results show:

  • Improved English language arts performance, moving from orange to yellow.

  • Stronger progress toward English proficiency, moving from yellow to green.

  • Improved science performance, moving from orange to yellow.

  • Fewer students chronically absent and a lower suspension rate, helping students stay connected to learning.

Overall, our results maintained or improved across these measures. Mathematics scores improved slightly, although the Dashboard rating moved from yellow to orange because ratings reflect both current performance and the amount of change from the prior year.

We are proud of our students, staff, and families. These gains are especially meaningful as we reflect on the organizational restructuring our district has undertaken over the past two years. We are grateful for your support, patience, and trust throughout these changes and for your continued partnership in supporting students.

There is still much work to do. We will build on this progress by strengthening reading, writing, mathematics, and science instruction, supporting English language development, and helping students attend school every day.

Please explore the California School Dashboard. The documents linked below explain the Dashboard measures. In the coming days, we will discuss our results in greater depth at parent meetings.

Thank you for your partnership and support.
