At last night’s Board meeting (October 20), the Board approved several items that support our students’ learning and health and keep our campus in good shape.

SUPPORTING OUR STUDENTS

  • Library services: We’re expanding librarian services through the Santa Clara County Office of Education so students have more access to books.

  • School nurse: The Board approved an agreement with Soliant Health to keep a registered nurse available for our students.

  • Parent Advisory Committee: This new committee gives families a regular way to share input on the District’s Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP).

  • Staffing: The Board approved personnel actions that keep our programs and daily operations running smoothly.

CARING FOR OUR CAMPUS

The Board ratified urgent plumbing repairs to student restrooms and approved mechanical maintenance, emergency repair services, an electrical services contract, and replacement of the HVAC coil in Room J.

POLICIES AND REQUIRED REVIEWS

  • Board policies were updated to reflect changes in law and current guidance.

  • The Board adopted updates to the Conflict of Interest Code.
